Open resourceChristian sleep meditation
End the day with Scripture instead of a racing mind: a simple wind-down, bedtime verses, and a slow guided prayer you can read or listen to as you drift off.
Sleep comes easier when your heart stops rehearsing the day. This page gives you something to do with the last ten minutes before bed: a short rhythm, a few verses to rest on, and a meditation you can use tonight.

01
You cannot force sleep, but you can prepare for it. Ten unhurried minutes are enough.
If you have five minutes, begin here.
02
These verses are short enough to hold with your eyes closed. Pick one for tonight rather than reading them all.

03
A guided practice lowers mental noise and invites your body to relax. When Scripture is at the center, your thoughts shift from rehearsing worry to resting on promises.

Sample sleep meditation
Breathe in slowly. God is your refuge. As you exhale, release the day. "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:8).
Guided text meditation
Lie down and let the bed hold your full weight. You are done carrying today. Breathe in through your nose, slowly. Breathe out even slower, and let your jaw unclench. Again — in for four, out for six. There is nothing left tonight that needs you. Hear the psalmist's bedtime prayer: "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Not because every problem is solved. Because Someone stays awake who loves you. If a worry surfaces, do not chase it. Picture setting it down outside the bedroom door — it can wait for morning, and God will be up before you are. Stay with one phrase as your breathing slows: "You alone, Lord... make me dwell... in safety." Let the words stretch and soften. If you fall asleep before the end, that is not a failure. That is the point. Goodnight — He grants sleep to those He loves.
