Terms of Service

Effective date: 11/2/2025

1) Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Sabbath (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2) The Service

Sabbath provides Scripture‑rooted, AI‑assisted meditations personalized from your inputs (text or optional voice). We generate scripts using model providers and synthesize audio for playback.

3) Accounts and Access

  • You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) to use the Service.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse, fraud, or security concerns.

4) Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed by our payment processor (Stripe). Prices, features, and limits are described on our Pricing page. You may cancel anytime; access continues through the current billing period. Fees are non‑refundable except as required by law.

5) Acceptable Use

  • No illegal, abusive, hateful, or infringing content.
  • No attempts to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service, bypass security, or misuse signed media URLs.
  • Do not upload private information you do not have permission to share.

6) Content and IP

  • Your Inputs. You retain rights to your journal notes, discovery messages, and uploads.
  • Generated Output. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non‑transferable license to use and share the meditations we generate for you.
  • Our IP. The Service, code, and design are owned by us and our licensors.

7) Health and Pastoral Disclaimers

Sabbath offers spiritual reflection and encouragement. We do not provide medical, psychological, or legal advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek professional help in emergencies or for clinical needs.

8) Third‑Party Services

We integrate with third‑party providers, including OpenAI and Google (text models), ElevenLabs (voice), Supabase (database/auth), object storage (S3‑compatible), and Stripe (billing). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms.

9) Warranties and Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND LIMIT LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

10) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect users and the Service.

11) Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update features or these Terms. If updates are material, we will notify you in‑app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

12) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Georgia, USA (without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles), unless another jurisdiction is required by applicable law. Venue and jurisdiction for any dispute will lie in state or federal courts located in Georgia.
