Resting in His Tov
Take a deep breath and settle your heart in this space.
In the quiet, notice the questions rising within you.
Is God really good? You have been asking this lately.
What name have you believed that God never gave you?
Perhaps you feel like 'The Abandoned' or 'The Forgotten One.'
Breathe out those heavy names right now as you exhale.
Those labels were built in seasons of pain and fear.
But identity is received from the Father, not achieved.
The Hebrew word for good is 'Tov.'
It means functional, beautiful, and exactly as He intended.
God is 'Tov' in His very essence and toward you.
Now, let us ask Him a very direct question.
Father, what lie have I believed about Your goodness?
Listen closely to the gentle whisper of His Spirit.
He does not pull away from your honest, searching heart.
He is the Father of lights, with no shadow of turning.
Now ask Him: Father, who do You say I am?
You are His beloved child, in whom He is well pleased.
You are not a victim of circumstance, but a heir of grace.
Taste and see that the Lord is indeed good.
His goodness is a shield that surrounds you even now.
You are safe to let go of your striving and doubt.
You are secure in a love that never fails or fades.
Imagine walking through your day from this place of truth.
When doubt whispers, remember your true name: 'Favored.'
You are the one the King delights to bless.
Lord, I agree with who You say I am.
I receive Your goodness as my firm foundation.
May you walk today in the light of His perfect 'Tov.'
You are held, you are seen, and you are loved.
