Resting at the Altar of Grace
In the beginning, You spoke light into my darkness.
You are the Great I AM, the God who holds my life.
I come now to Your altar, laying down every heavy burden.
I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing.
Your mercies are new for me every single morning.
I am rooted and grounded deeply in Your infinite love.
I lie down in the green pastures of Your perfect peace.
Beside the still waters, You gently restore my soul.
I will not fear, for I know You are always with me.
Your rod and Your staff bring comfort to my heart.
I take Your yoke upon me, for it is easy and kind.
Your burden is light, and in You, I find true rest.
My mind is stayed on You, kept in perfect stillness.
I am being renewed in the very spirit of my mind.
You have not given me a spirit of fear or trembling.
But You have given me power, love, and a sound mind.
When I am weak, Your strength is made perfect in me.
I mount up with wings like an eagle today.
I run and do not grow weary in Your abundant grace.
I walk and do not faint, held by Your righteous hand.
Your peace, which passes understanding, guards my heart.
I am hidden in the secret place of the Most High.
Under Your wings, I find my refuge and my trust.
I am the branch, and You are the Vine that feeds me.
Apart from You, I know I can do nothing at all.
Your Word is a lamp that lights my every step.
I am a new creation; the old has passed away.
Your joy is my strength in this very moment.
I rest completely in the finished work of the cross.
I seal these words in the name and blood of Jesus.
